I love this. I really love this. The first two pages were just playing, well, this is too...but this was my favorite by far.
Materials:
DYLUSIONS: London Blue and Cut Grass
Perfect Pearls
Stickers
Gesso
Studio paints
Again, the background was the result from the first two swipes from the craft mat. This is where I added a few spritzes of water to the mat and then put the paper down to collect the mess that was left. It was a much more watered down green and blue this time. To that I added a sheet of leftover stickers.....those random colored and random sized letters you sometimes have in your scrapbooking collection...I have piles of these stickers.....piles! I must say, I have found a way to get rid of those mostly used sheets of stickers with only a few letters left or where all the good ones are gone. I must do this again. Anyway, after getting all the letters down, randomly placed on the sheet and just piled and piled on top of each other I used gesso to cover the random colors on the stickers and to prepare the glossy stickers for my paint wash later. I used three colors of Studio Paints to color the top layer with emphasis on some areas on the sheet. I can honestly say this looks SOOOO much better in person. You just want to touch it.

Page 2 Art Journal
This page background is created with the leftovers from my first pages misting on the craft mat. After letting my other page dry I thought that the stuff left on the craft mat looked interesting and wondered how it would look if I just put the paper down on the mat and picked up with color. The above is the result. Love it! I added the ink stamping and Gelato stamping and a fortune cookie fortune to the end project.

Dylusions stamp: On the Edge
Perfect Pearls
Gelatos

Art Journaling
I have dipped my toes in to the deep ocean that is mix media art journaling....or at least mixed media. This is my first attempt using some awesome inks from DYLUSIONS. I had a class this summer at CHA with Dyan Reaveley that I was so excited to take. She has some awesome stamps and the spray inks she has are so vibrant!
Materials:
Dylusions: London Blue Spray Ink
Cut Grass Spray Ink
Martha Stewart punch
Liquid Pearls: Key Lime, Pumpkin and Ocean Blue
Zig Marker
Gelatos
Perfect Pearls
Dylusions Masks
So I started this art journal on August 12, 2012. This is my first page in the book. I am not sure where this is going but I enjoy the playing with paints and inks and glitters.
This page was created by spraying the inks directly onto the craft mat on my desk. With a paint brush and a little pile of Perfect Pearls between the sprayed inks I just swiped my brush through to collect color and glimmer powder. Then I spread the paint across the paper in a grid pattern. After letting that dry a bit I used the masks and a Mister of water to remove some color. Then it was a matter of adding Gelatos in random circles and finishing with some black marker.

August 2012
That's what Makenna and Cosmo are. Our little friend Makenna dropped by one afternoon and she really enjoys spending time with Cosmo, the store mascot. This particular day she was reading a story to the little guy when he was out in his ball.

MAGNOLIA dies
This little kitty is so adorable! The best part is that the die comes with a lamp post as well, so you can create a scene or use the die separately like I did.

DYAN REAVELEY inspired
One of the classes I took at CHA was with Dyan Reaveley. She introduced us to some great new inks in sprays and to....well....getting messy again. This is something I like to do.

Paper Straws and gift wrap
We saw so many booths with paper straws at CHA this year and we though they looked like a lot of fun. So PICTURE THIS now has a nice assortment of paper straws in pretty colors. I used one here to make my gift pick.
