Tim Holtz Snowflake Rosette dies
My project using the Snowflake Rosette dies...yes DIES...there are two. Just like the original rosette, there are two dies, one with a single larger size cut and the other with a medium and small size. I bought the larger version first to give it a test drive and then had to have the other one so I could have a complete set!!
Materials:
Paper: Lily Bee "Jingle": Frost
Kaiser Craft "Just Believe Collection": Remember
ECHO PARK "For the Record 2": Chevrons
American Crafts "5th & Frolic": 6th & Main
Crate Paper "Pretty Party": Papercloth
Crate Paper "Pretty Party": Spool
My Mind's Eye "Nostalgia": Vintage
Sizzix Alterations Dies: Snowflake Rosette and Mini Snowflake Rosette
ModgePodge
Tim Holtz "Distress Stickles Dry Glitter Clear Rock Candy" by Ranger
I ended up using:
7 full sheets of patterned paper (and a few stray pieces I had laying around)
16 yards of fishing line
3/4 of a jar of the Stickles dry glitter
1/2 cup of Modge Podge
and about 4 hours of cutting, folding, glueing, sprinkling and tying
to make 63 glitter covered snowflake ornaments for my 3 foot tree.

These are the papers I used.....a nice mix of aqua blue shades that had reverse sides that were complimentary to the front pattern. Sometimes the patterns they put on both sides don't quite fit together!
This is the back sides of those papers.
Here are the flakes before the glitter....
...and here they are after the modge podge and glitter.
