Spellbinders Dress Form Die and Paper Straws
Since I had so much fun creating the make & take projects from last week with the help of Leann and Amy, I had to make a few more of these fun projects for my nieces for Halloween....hopefully they won't be looking at this. You may remember the straw (or pencil/pixie stix) toppers from a post a few days back. I had to make some purple polka dot ones with the matching witches too. Adorable!!

Wine Cork Tree
Here is my version of the wine cork tree. Simple used wine corks, buttons, small circles of patterned paper, some pearl topped pins and a nice piece of ribbon. Hot glue the corks into a pyramid and decorate.
I saw this tree done at a booth at CHA this summer in Chicago and thought what a cute idea for a wine drinker...which I am not. Still a cute idea. I was on a mission to drink enough wine between CHA, which is in the middle of July, and the Christmas Card Extravaganza, which was September 22, to make a tree. Well, I only contributed two corks to this project, so I had to call in a few relatives who are wine makers to help me out.

Maya Roads Twine
We have bulk twine for sale by the yard and then we have some great spools of twine you can buy too....for those occasions when you need a LOT of twine.
This is the last of the Christmas One Sheet Wonderfuls. This one you can see the difference between the two but still utilizing the same cuts from the ONE sheet of patterned paper. The design works best if you have a contrasting design on either side. Sometimes the sheets of paper have a double side with a similar color on the other and then it doesn't work as well to do this design. The bright dots and colorful snowflakes on the left side card contrast each other nicely, but still coordinate. And the little snowmen and large white snowflakes on a green background the right side card still have enough contrast to make them stand out from each other. Had the background been white on both sides you would not have the contrast.
