September 2010

I have moved my posts from an old blog to this one and I have moved one month at a time.....I have been blogging far too long to post each one on a separate day. Enjoy the below post for the month mentioned in the tag line.

Birthday Beans

So I finished up with the JILLIBEAN SOUP papers that I bought for the last two layouts I posted.  I usually craft a quick card out of the leftovers which guarantees I use up ALL the bits and pieces!  Plus, all the coordinating materials are already in front of me.

The other side

I used another paper from the same line as yesterday's post for this page.  Quin is in his first year of High School Cross Country.

The Highlights

I spent a little time indoors this past week......can't imagine that......the rain was a good thing for crafting, but not for the crops!!  So, I finally got this page finished over the weekend and I even got to throw a little Graphic45 in!!!

Team Work

I had a little trouble getting this to photograph well.  The green is much brighter in real life.

Snickers

This is my doggie Snickers.  I don't do many pages with her because she doesn't do much....but this paper from Basic Grey was too fun to pass up.

What a Pear

"What a Pear" is the stamp I need for this card, but, I didn't have that, so I settled for the "Just for you" sentiment.  I suppose I could have made one with my JUST RITE alpha stamps.....but, I hadn't used this other JUST RITE stamp, and I was trying to be fair...lol

Miss You

I decided I needed to work with some different paper today.  So I grabbed my next favorite brand...Basic Grey!  This is from the Kioshi line.

This is a fun double sided paper with a pretty pattern on both sides.  You'll see what I did with the other side tomorrow....when I finish it....lol.  So, for this one, I used the pattern in the paper to make the circle centers.  They were a fun design all by themselves, so I went with it!  Instead of going with the same pattern as the background I twisted the ones in the circles.  Finish off with a pearl and a nice stamped sentiment and you're done.  Any stamp will work here..Thank You, Birthday....whatever.

Welcome Baby

I was working with an older set of Cuttlebug Cut and Emboss sets...the "Welcome Baby" set has an embossing folder and a cut plate with words on it.
I used the pattern on the folder to make the strip across the top....it is actually a flat strip that is embossed instead of an all over dot pattern.  This would make a great spot for stamping a sentiment of any kind on.  I used the baby words from the cut die for the front and inside of the card.  This is a fun set and we only have two left in the store and this one will be retired to the "order on demand" file (while still available for order that is...).....we are running out of room to stock them all!!  I guess that isn't a bad thing....but we like to see all the fun tools we can play with in one place.
