Thank you card
I just love the brown and teal in the OffBeat line from Basic Grey. And, I am SO in love with the NESTABILITIES. I just got the "Lable One" set and have been creating up a storm....still no Christmas cards though...maybe I should get on that....
Ok, the fun thing about this card is, beside being square (and you need extra postage for that), is the card holder. I found the instructions for this one HERE and it is easy and looks great!! I added a closure to mine by taking a strip of scrap patterned paper and some cardstock and adhere to the back of the card (cover the back with more scrap paper so you can't see the ends) and then adhereing the tag on the front only around the edges so the end of the closure can go right under the edge. I left about 3 inches to slide under it. Worked perfectly!! And as long as you glue the inside seem of the card where the gift card goes, you can slip the Gift card into the slot and it pops out when the recipient opens it.

Birdie fun
I have been busy crafting (and not working on my Christmas cards...oops).
These scallop chipboard albums from BASIC GREY are so nice to work with.
I painted all the "pages" with acrylic paint and for the front cover I added the extra holes around the scallop border for a different look from the rest of the pages.
I worked with the BASIC GREY ribbons and buttons and 6x6 paper pack to create a quick easy album...
...with a little added zing from some CUTTLEBUG dies and embossers...
...AND....I finally got to use my new BIRDIE Nestabilities die
And just for FUN, I took my NESTABILITIES circle die and cut a hole in the middle of one page so it would have a see through effect to the next page (the second picture above shows how it looks against the other pages)
