Happy Birthday with card holder

Same concept as yesterday, different colors.

Ok, you all know I LOVE Basic Grey, so this is no surprise that it's a Basic Grey card again.

Thank you card

I just love the brown and teal in the OffBeat line from Basic Grey.  And, I am SO in love with the NESTABILITIES.  I just got the "Lable One" set and have been creating up a storm....still no Christmas cards though...maybe I should get on that....

Ok, the fun thing about this card is, beside being square (and you need extra postage for that), is the card holder.  I found the instructions for this one HERE and it is easy and looks great!!  I added a closure to mine by taking a strip of scrap patterned paper and some cardstock and adhere to the back of the card (cover the back with more scrap paper so you can't see the ends) and then adhereing the tag on the front only around the edges so the end of the closure can go right under the edge.  I left about 3 inches to slide under it.  Worked perfectly!!  And as long as you glue the inside seem of the card where the gift card goes, you can slip the Gift card into the slot and it pops out when the recipient opens it.

Birdie fun

I have been busy crafting (and not working on my Christmas cards...oops).
These scallop chipboard albums from BASIC GREY are so nice to work with.
I painted all the "pages" with acrylic paint and for the front cover I added the extra holes around the scallop border for a different look from the rest of the pages.
I worked with the BASIC GREY ribbons and buttons and 6x6 paper pack to create a quick easy album...
...with a little added zing from some CUTTLEBUG dies and embossers...
...AND....I finally got to use my new BIRDIE Nestabilities die
And just for FUN, I took my NESTABILITIES circle die and cut a hole in the middle of one page so it would have a see through effect to the next page (the second picture above shows how it looks against the other pages)

Dashing through the Snow

You would think that as a crafter (and someone who works in the industry) that I would have the time to finish cards and create ALL THE TIME....well, I don't.  Not that I am complaining...but Christmas is only 2 weeks away and I have all of 5 cards completely done....and I need 56...yikes.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!

I just had to make a Happy little turkey for Thanksgiving.
Isn't he the cutest?  Scallop circles and a heart punch are all that it takes to make this one!

A Very Happy Day

Fun papers are the easiest to work with! October Afternoon has FUN PAPERS. The double sided papers make it easy to create a colorful card with just a few scraps.  When you finish with your pages, you have a card ready to go.

Thank you card

Another quick card

I had these leftovers from a previous project and put them together to make a quickie card.  The floral paper and plaid are the same paper...gotta love the double sided papers!!!

Cross Country

Have I mentioned that I have a son who runs Cross Country?  Maybe once or twice...lol
Since they won the Cloverbelt Championship I thought that event deserved a special page.

The black around the page is the surface I took the photo on and not part of the layout.

Merry Christmas

Finally some cards.....bet you thought I was sitting here watching football or something instead of crafting...well, I am doing both.  With the cold weather having settled in...I am in craft mode!

I made this cute snowman card with some Cuttlebug love and a favorite set of Christmas stamps.

Thank You card

I LOVE this little tree stamp from Imaginisce.  The best part about acrylic stamps is the storage.  They take up less room than traditional wood block stamps. I still love my wood block stamps, but the acrylics have made it easier to keep adding to my massive collection (and I still have room for more stuff!!)

Hello Friends!

Did you think I had abandoned you all?  Nope, I have just been super busy with kids sports and life in general.  But, I was able to make this little card this morning with a spare moment before heading out for the day. Of course, my camera was not available and I had to wait to take a photo.....hopefully I can get a few more things crafted before to many more days go by.
I stamped the chicken image on the card first and then I inked up my embossing folder before sending the card top through the Cuttlebug which put ink into the grooves of the card.  I love this technique!!

Grand Canyon page

Ahhh, some pages made with BASIC GREY.  It was time to get some vacation pages done and this paper is the perfect answer to getting me jump started on the project.
You would think that Basic Grey was the only paper I ever used, but I love that company and it is SO hard NOT to use it in just about everything.

Snow much fun

More fun playing with Cuttlebug.

I inked the inside of my Cuttlebug folder before I embossed the paper which gave it the darker appearance from the rest of the paper.
